Can you smell it? It is probably the Christmas! We are just 2 days away from the day in which we enjoy presents, food and family. We are going on holidays and what best way to say goodbye to this year than ending up talking about collocations?

Christmas holiday is usually a long enough break for you to forget about very important collocations we use in English either when you speak or write: The Phrasal Verbs.

There are so many of them that it can be tricky to learn and remember them easily because there is no particular rule behind them, the only trick to get round to remembering them (Spot the Phrasal Verb!) is to get used to them by using them as often as possible.

Christmas is the time to spend with your loved ones, feel the magic around the streets and of course, eating and drinking! Every supermarket in the city is stocked up with tempting sweets, mouth-watering delicacies and traditional dishes for all of us to enjoy in these festive periods.

We are in the middle of the week and every time closer to the Christmas holidays. Perhaps during your holidays you will decide to go and visit a city around England or, if you are outside the UK, travelling to an English speaking country for some well-deserved holidays.

I am sure English prepositions is one of the topics everyone struggles with at some point.
Short little words, but provide such necessary and specific information to an interlocutor or reader to understand a situation better.
Not only do we have to learn which English preposition to use for directions, place, time or movement, but also remember by heart the list of nouns, adjectives and verbs followed by specific English prepositions.

January! It is the first month of the New Year and the one of resolutions! As I walked past the gym near my house I saw that even more people had joined and the place was surprisingly crowded. I’m going to focus on the body and get your brains fit with some useful body idioms. Enjoy!
