English for Specific Purposes (ESP) are tailor-made English courses that are designed to help students who need to improve their English in a specific professional context. They will develop their communicative competence in a specific discipline or field of work. Students must have a minimum of Intermediate level (B1) to attend ESP courses. Our ESP courses are available to be arranged on a private basis only.

Academic Writing private course

Who is this course for?

This course is for those who wish to improve the quality of their academic assignments or their formal correspondence & gain confidence in their writing skills.

What will you achieve?

At the end of this course you will be able to produce various English texts. You will also be introduced to paragraph writing, paraphrasing & report writing.

In this course a process approach to writing is adopted which covers all areas of writing from brainstorming to referencing.

 

English for Business private course

Who is this course for?

This is an ideal course for those whose business life is dependent on possessing a good command of the English language. English for Travel and Tourism private course

Who is this course for?

This course is for people either working or planning to work in hospitality, tourism or travel. During this course students will be introduced to the core language skills required in this industry, this will be achieved through a wide range of work-related tasks. The main focus of this course is placed on integrated communication skills.

What will you achieve?

This course will help students to communicate with more confidence and with a more sophisticated level of English, especially in related fields. It is also expected to increase their awareness of technical words in this industry and apply them in the correct context.

Accent and Pronunciation private course

Who is this course for?

This course is for those who wish to improve their accent and more importantly their pronunciation in English. During these 15 hours, students will be introduced to phonetic sounds in English and will be taught about their differences. This course also focuses on intonation and rhythm of sentences in English and introduces a number of techniques to help students achieve their desired results.

The course requires a large amount of self-study and practice.

What will you achieve?

By the end of this course you will have far fewer errors in pronunciation as well as being able to enunciate clearly during conversation. We believe it is a good starting point for students who wish to speak English with the correct pronunciation as natives do.

English for Emails private course

Who is this course for?

This course is for those who wish to exchange emails either because of their occupation or simply to keep in touch with family and friends. Initially students are taught how to distinguish between formal and informal emails and then go on to learn how to write and respond in kind.
In today’s world sending and receiving emails has become an indispensable part of our daily life.

What will you achieve?

By the end of this course students are expected to write emails with improved grammatical structures and choice of vocabulary. They will also be able to write both formal and informal emails.

 

English for Fashion private course

Who is this course for?

For many years the dominant languages in fashion have been French and Italian, however in recent years English has started to play an increasingly important role. This course is for those who wish to build up a better understanding of the English language commonly used within the Fashion industry. During the course students will utilise many fashion related materials such as magazines and reports, the course includes bespoke exercises designed for improving English language with regards to the fashion industry.

What will you achieve?

At the end of this course students will have a better connection with various types of fashion related Medias. Students will also be able to express their thoughts, opinions and ideas with more confidence.

Students of this course can expect to have a greatly improved vocabulary within their field of interest, as well as an improved command over the English language.

English for Finance & Accounting private course

This is an ideal course for those who work in the financial sector and don’t want language to be a restriction. It is also a useful course for those who communicate regularly with financial or accounts departments and need to understand their terminology. The course covers a number of reading and listening exercises built from authentic extracts about real-life situations.

By the end of this course students are expected to feel more comfortable in applying financial terminology and will also be able to communicate with increased confidence in technical discussions.
They will be able to understand and confidently produce written materials such as reports and memos.

English for Law private course

Who is this course for?

English for law is a great course for anyone who works in an English speaking environment and is very helpful generally. It introduces common law concepts in English and help students with related language, terminology and vocabulary. The course also covers a number of activities in reading and writing skills in legal contexts.

What will you achieve?

By the end of this course students are expected to have a good grounding in basic concepts in English law. Studying on the course will expand and improve students’ language in a general and legal context, helping them to gain confidence when using English and aiding in the understanding of English and EU law and the connections between them.

English for Media private course

Who is this course for?

As with our other English for Specific Purposes courses, this course is primarily aimed at individuals who work within the subject’s field; Media, but it is also a great course for those who just want to improve their understanding within this area. During this course students will be introduced to a wide range of media-related resources such as newspapers, television, radio as well as marketing. If you enrol on this course you will learn many job-specific skills such as writing headlines and the best use of language in advertisements.

What will you achieve?

By the end of this course you will have absorbed a large number of technical terms enabling you to engage comfortably in any media-related conversations, whether for work or just for enjoyment. This course should help students to engage more easily with newspapers, radio, TV, magazines and films.

 

English for Meetings private course

Who is this course for?

This is a concise English course suitable for people who need to attend meetings in the English language. This course presents a number of language concepts used in the context of meetings in English; the course also covers cultural norms in this regard. Therefore, during this course students will engage with a number of interactive exercises and simulating role play tasks. These exercises simulate real life situations providing valuable experience to those who expect to work in these environments.

What will you achieve?

At the end of this course you should be able to communicate and engage efficiently and effectively in professional environments such as conducting a presentation, explaining an idea or asking for further information. Pupils will also be able to talk freely with more confidence whilst utilizing their improved vocabulary as well as possessing a heightened sense of awareness when it comes to cultural norms.

 

English for Telephoning private course

Who is this course for?

This course is intended for individuals who work in secretarial or administrative jobs. During this course students will practice with a number of interactive tasks that help them to speak with improved English and confidence over the phone. They will learn how to take notes and above all how to communicate properly with the individual on the other end of line.

What will you achieve?

By the end of this course students should feel more comfortable speaking in English, both on and off the telephone. They will be given audio extracts and hands-on exercises over the period of the course.
Students’ choice of words will be greatly improved, as will their general confidence when talking in the English language.
